Ultra-Precision Cutting
The MICRO-CUT 100 wire saw combines a diamond wire with up to 50× microscopic observation for precision sectioning and sampling of small specimens. Touchscreen control and automatic coolant circulation, with 150 W total power consumption.
Three choices made for precision sampling
Diamond wire from 20 to 100 μm
Choose the wire diameter to suit the hardness of the specimen and the target kerf width — down to 20 μm — balancing kerf loss against cutting efficiency.
Up to 50× microscopic observation
The wire and the cut position can be observed directly during cutting, reducing loss from trial cuts and making it easy to target the region of interest.
Touchscreen control, automatic coolant circulation
Process parameters are set on the touchscreen and the coolant circulates automatically; total power consumption is 150 W and noise stays below 50 dB, so the unit suits a normal laboratory bay.

The values below are nominal factory figures; refer to the document supplied with the unit for actual parameters.
| Diamond wire diameter | 20 – 100 μm |
|---|---|
| Sample size | width ≤ 20 mm · height ≤ 10 mm |
| Wire oscillation amplitude | 90 mm |
| Stage adjustment accuracy | R1 2° · R2 2° · Y axis 1 μm |
| Microscope magnification | up to 50× |
| Control system | Touchscreen operation, automatic coolant circulation |
| Power consumption | 150 W |
| Noise | below 50 dB |
Which samples it suits
Small, high-value specimens
Samples up to 20 mm wide and 10 mm high — suited to crystals, ceramics and composites that are difficult to process on conventional equipment.
When the cut face must be observed
Up to 50× microscopic observation lets you watch the wire and the cut position during cutting, reducing loss from trial cuts.
When cut quality matters
Diamond wire diameter can be selected between 20 and 100 μm, with a 90 mm oscillation amplitude, balancing kerf width against cutting efficiency.
