Technical Support

From selection and installation through to long-term maintenance, we support every unit we ship — directly by the engineers who developed it, not through a call centre.

What We Provide

Support at four stages

01

Pre-sales selection

Based on magnetic field strength, temperature range, dewar dimensions and cleanliness requirements, we recommend the meter, probe and number of power supply channels.

02

Installation and commissioning

We provide wiring diagrams and parameter initialisation notes, and assist with first power-up, communications and setting the low-level alarm point.

03

Calibration and repair

Factory calibration and repair, including power module replacement. The modular design allows hot-swap by hand on site, so most maintenance does not require returning the unit.

04

Spare parts and consumables

Level probes, diamond wires and power modules are available long-term. Please quote the original model and serial number for an exact match.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Must the meter and the probe be purchased together?
Yes. The meter and the probe are supplied as one measuring system and must be purchased as a set. When ordering, please provide the dewar inner dimensions and the mounting interface so that the probe length and excitation current can be confirmed.
How is the probe length determined?
The “effective length” of the probe must cover the level range you wish to measure; the overall length is the effective length plus 3 mm (3 mm clearance below). Provide the dewar inner height and the mounting flange position and we will recommend a length.
What does the pulsed-current mode do?
Level measurement itself introduces heat into the liquid helium and therefore causes evaporative loss. The pulsed-current mode reduces the average heating power while maintaining measurement accuracy, and so reduces the helium loss caused by the measurement.
How does the radiation-tolerant model differ from the standard model?
Radiation tolerance is an optional feature of the high-precision programmable power supply (JPS series). The radiation-tolerant model withstands a cumulative dose of up to 100 Gy (cobalt-60) while powered, and continues to meet all specified parameters and functions afterwards. It is intended for space, nuclear and particle accelerator environments.
How are the units calibrated or repaired?
When contacting us, please provide the model, serial number and a description of the fault. Calibration and repair are carried out at the factory; the exact process and lead time are confirmed by our sales engineers.
Do you provide a host-computer communication protocol document?
The level meter runs as a local TCP server (listening port 8080) and also provides RS-232 and Ethernet interfaces. The protocol document is supplied with the unit and can be requested in advance from our technical mailbox.
